Understand your free trial
Shopify determines whether your store is eligible for a free trial and when it ends.
How to use it
- Open the current plan selection in Shopify and review the offered trial.
- Approve the plan only after reviewing its recurring price and separate usage charges.
- Open Billing & Subscription to check the trial end date returned by Shopify.
- Review the plan before the trial ends if you intend to change or cancel it.
What to know
The current Essentials and Plus plans offer 15 trial days for the recurring subscription fee. Message usage is billed separately during the trial.
Reinstalling does not reset eligibility or previously used trial days. Do not calculate a new trial from the reinstall date.
What happens next
The billing view shows Shopify’s authoritative trial information for the active subscription.
