Check how much the buyer paid, how much was refunded and how much store credit was issued for a multi-address purchase.
How to use it
- Open Orders → Multi-address gifts and select a purchase.
- Expand Financial summary under the payment order.
- Review Payment received, original-payment refunds, shopper store credit and Cash retained.
- Read warnings about pending or unconfirmed compensation and expand the recipient details when needed.
Reading the amounts
| Amount | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Payment received | Successful captured payment |
| Original-payment refunds | Confirmed refunds against the captured payment |
| Shopper store credit | Confirmed credit issued to the shopper’s store account |
| Cash retained | Payment received minus original-payment refunds |
| Total compensation | Original-payment refunds plus issued store credit |
What to know
Cash retained equals Payment received minus confirmed original-payment refunds. Issuing store credit leaves cash with the store, because no money is returned through the payment gateway.
Total compensation means original-payment refunds plus store credit. A recipient order marked refunded does not by itself confirm a successful refund of the combined payment.
What happens next
The summary gives you the confirmed money outcome in shop currency and identifies issues requiring review.
