Understand gift-card delivery and redemption
PrepMyGifts collects the gift-card amount, recipient, note and delivery date. Shopify creates the redeemable code and handles its balance and recipient email.
How to use it
- Configure the native Shopify gift-card product and dedicated page.
- Check the amount, recipient, note and delivery date fields from the shopper view.
- Complete a test purchase and check Shopify’s issuance and recipient email.
- Handle code, balance, redemption or native-email issues through the store’s Shopify gift-card tools.
What to know
The native Shopify gift-card email is separate from a PrepMyGifts link that opens a personal message.
Physical greeting cards are separate products and have no redeemable balance.
What happens next
The recipient uses the code with your store; Shopify maintains its value and remaining balance.
