Connect Klaviyo for gift notifications
Klaviyo receives a PrepMyGifts event that your live transactional flow turns into the gift email.
How to use it
- In Klaviyo, prepare a private key with Events Write and Flows Read, and create one immediate transactional flow for PrepMyGifts Message Ready.
- Configure the subject and content from the supplied event fields. Use pmg_subject for the subject and pmg_html for the generated HTML where the editor supports it.
- Make the flow live; remove competing delays, Smart Sending restrictions inappropriate for this transactional flow and duplicate automations.
- In Notifications, choose Email → Klaviyo and enter the key and flow ID. Confirm that your delivery automation is live using the checkbox, choose Verify and connect, then send a test.
What to know
A key alone does not send the email. The live flow must use the event content and be appropriate for transactional delivery. Confirm template rendering in your Klaviyo account.
The app confirms that Klaviyo accepted the event. Check Klaviyo for the email’s final delivery result. Verification codes use PrepMyGifts delivery.
What happens next
Eligible gift notifications create the event, and your Klaviyo flow sends the mapped content.
