Connect Twilio for SMS and WhatsApp
Twilio can deliver supported gift notifications by SMS or an approved WhatsApp template.
How to use it
- In Notifications, choose SMS or WhatsApp and select Twilio.
- Enter the account SID, auth token and enabled sending number requested by the form.
- For WhatsApp, provide the approved Content SID and variable mapping shown by your template.
- Verify and connect, then send a test to a phone number you have permission to contact.
What to know
WhatsApp uses an approved Twilio template. Configure its variables for the recipient name, sender name, occasion, action link or message as needed.
Only configured phone channels are offered to shoppers. The shopper is asked for permission to send the recipient’s notification; provider account and messaging requirements still apply. Verification codes use PrepMyGifts delivery.
What happens next
Configured channels can become available to shoppers. Inspect Twilio and app history to verify test delivery.
